Lake Minnetonka Ice House Rentals

Heated fish houses on the lake since 2009.

Lake Minnetonka ice house rentals, set up and waiting for you. We've put fish houses out on Lake Minnetonka since 2009, and each one comes heated, with the holes already drilled and the rods and bait inside. You check in at our marina in Mound, follow us out to your house, and start fishing.

Come out for a day slot or stay the night. Our houses sleep 3 to 8 depending on the house, so there's room for a couple of friends, the whole family or a full crew. Booking online takes a couple of minutes, and nothing is charged when you book. We're a Metro Lakes Marina & Rentals business.

Heated fish houses, already on the ice

Your house is set up before you get there, so you can leave the auger and the bait bucket at home. Every house comes with:

  • Heat
  • Pre-drilled fishing holes
  • Fishing rods
  • A tackle box
  • Bait: fatheads, crappie minnows and wax worms
  • A TV

There's a portable bathroom outside, serviced daily, and you'll have cell service out on the ice. Kids are welcome, and so are pets for a $30 fee.

If you'd rather fish with your own rods, auger or electronics, bring them along. You don't have to, though. Everything you need to catch fish is already in the house.

How it works

  1. Pick a weekend and your slots

Use the weekend search on our home page, or open any house and pick from its calendar. Choose the day or overnight slots you want. It takes a couple of minutes.

  2. Save a card, nothing charged

We save your card to hold the reservation, and it isn't charged when you book. The total at checkout includes 7% Minnesota sales tax.

  3. Check in at the marina in Mound

Meet us at 4850 Edgewater Drive, Mound, MN 55364. You'll follow us out to your house, and we'll show you around and get you settled.

  4. Fish

The holes are drilled, and the rods, bait and tackle box are inside. Drop a line and settle in.

Day or overnight

We rent houses in day and overnight time slots on weekends. A day slot is a good fit for a family outing, a few hours with friends, or your first time ice fishing. An overnight slot lets your group stay out on the lake through the evening and wake up right next to your holes. Bedding isn't provided, so pack sleeping bags or blankets.

Book one slot, or several for a longer stay. Each house's page shows how many it sleeps and which weekends are still open.

The season runs January 1 to March 31 (some houses open a little later).

What you'll catch on Lake Minnetonka

Our houses are set up for crappie, walleye and northern pike. The bait that comes with the house is fatheads, crappie minnows and wax worms, and there's a rod and a tackle box waiting for you.

Whether you're after a bucket of crappies for a fish fry or hoping for a walleye like the one in the picture, the holes are already drilled and waiting.
